The hardly visible clear dental aligners have been produced using the latest computer technology that is capable of predicting the movement of your tooth making makes it possible for this modern orthodontic appliance to gradually straighten your teeth into desired positions.

It is essential to be aware that the invisible or clear braces have largely been designed for adults and older teenagers and are not suggested for children who still retain their baby teeth. Nevertheless, clear aligners are quite capable to cure Misaligned, crooked, Crowded teeth and teeth that are widely spaced.

Who Can Insert Braces?
Only an orthodontist that is well versed with all available treatment options could suitably establish whether you might be a good candidate for this type of dental correction and management. As inserting braces is not a cup of tea so only orthodontist can do this job while in the case of clear aligners any body can wear aligners themselves and also can wore out easily.

Available Types of Braces
Clear or invisible dental aligners will show off your great smile, while the majority of people won't even be aware that you're wearing them. The available types include:

1.Clear Braces
Also identified as ceramic braces, these are made out of composite materials that are weaker and more brittle than normal metal braces. They are bigger in size than their metal counterparts and need ligatures for holding them fast onto their arch wire. They don't get removed until your treatment is finished.
2.Clear Dental Aligners
These are custom-fitted detachable aligners that offer irritation-free management with minimal discomfort levels. They are minimally invasive and practically invisible. They could be removed for physical sporting events, drinking and eating making them quite easy when it comes to flossing and brushing.
3.Inside Braces
These types of braces are attached to the inside of your teeth in such a way that they remain out of sight. This makes them very appealing to public figures that are often under public scrutiny or those who are self-conscious about wearing braces.

Clear Braces: Undetectable and Comfortable

The most important factor that brings color and joy into our lives is smiling, literally no one in the world can't benefit from a beautiful smile. A smile is a single gesture that attracts people around, gives them motivation to go on. Perhaps the best part of the smile is the fact that it's contagious so just one smile can multiply and turn into a thousand and just think of how many people will be happy because of seeing those smiles.
But despite all this there are people who are often reluctant to flash a smile, not because they don't want to but are afraid to. Their confidence is very low due to maligned teeth and is often not the center of attention in a social gathering. Many of us will think that this isn't incurable so what's the problem, well you see the problem actually lies in the solution itself. The problem is that the solution which is getting braces to straighten your teeth isn't a very appealing option mostly because of the way they look and how they feel and the restrictions they put on you. But all that is a thing of the past with the introduction of clear and invisible braces.
Clear braces work in a way like the traditional metal braces did by exerting pressure on the teeth to move them in the desired position but the problem with metal braces is that they use a metal wire and brackets to achieve this and having a metal wire around your teeth at all times can be a bit of an issue when you are conscious about your looks and even if you are not they just aren't very comfortable to wear as they cause irritation and ulcers in the mouth. Clear braces correct this by being made out of clear plastic and being totally smooth to the touch so they are impossible to see and they are also comfortable to wear.
Along with this they are removable so there is no restriction on what you can and what you can't eat, this also makes maintaining oral hygiene a lot easier than it was with metal braces. The duration of the treatment will be determined according to the condition of the patient's teeth but whatever the case it is shown that clear braces take half as much time as the metal braces for the same results.
The advantages of clear braces are undeniable, they are transparent, aligns the teeth in as little as 6 months which is twice as fast as metal braces, not only do they align teeth they also protect them from cavity, bacteria and plaque. Not only do you get the smile of your dreams faster but also maintain your oral hygiene and it won't even hurt. Clear Braces are less painful than those ugly metal braces. You can remove them anytime anywhere unlike metal braces. If you are thinking about finally taking a step and improving your smile clear braces are just right and I would recommend the ones. Moreover you can also go for Smile Designing process for best results.

Clear aligners gave me a perfect smile

As someone who has recently been gifted a new smile, I would like to throw some light on how those longing for the famed Hollywood smile can actually realise their dream. To start with I always had healthy teeth but the only problem was their crookedness. This not only made my smile look a bit awkward but also made it maintaining oral hygiene a difficult process. Every now and then a food particle would get stuck in between them and sometimes it became really difficult to dislodge them from the spaces. So, I had two reasons to undergo smile designing – for a perfect smile and better oral hygiene. I spoke to my aunt who had recently undergone tooth removal about how to start and she recommended her dentist and I immediately called her up and took an appointment. After a brief examination the dentist said that I have to wear an orthodontic appliance to get the perfect alignment. She presented with me different options in metal braces, clear braces, invisible braces and clear aligners. I had heard about the metal braces but didn't know anything about the rest. So, inquired about them. She began with clear braces. They are similar to metallic ones but the only thing that separates them is the material that is used in their making. They are made of composite materials varying in colours. The difference in colours is to match the teeth colour of different patients. The idea is to make them as less noticeable as possible. The invisible ones as the name goes are actually invisible but only to others. Yes! They, unlike the traditional methodology, are fitted to the back of the teeth which hides them from view. Hence, the name invisible braces. It was the last ones – the clear aligners -- that caught my attention. The aligners are plastic trays that are designed to fit on the teeth of individual patients after careful examination. Contrary to the braces, these are worn rather than being fixed and work on the same principle of applying steady, gentle pressure on the teeth to force them to their ideal positions. They are not only comfortable but are also flexible, invisible and don't interfere with your daily routines in anyway. I picked the last option – clear aligners. She also recommended me to undergo teeth whitening as my love for coffee and chocolates had stained them to an extent. I was more than happy to go for that. My curiosity also resulted in her telling me about other cosmetic treatment options available like veneers (for chipped tooth), implants (for missing tooth), crowns (misshapen tooth) and bonding (for damaged teeth to improve their appearance). I didn't need any of these but just the two – orthodontic (wearing aligners) and teeth whitening. You may need one or more of these options to design a perfect smile for yourself. Don't think too much about it. Go and see your dentist. She/he knows it better. And believe me – the feeling when you get after seeing your brand new perfect smile is incredible!

Invisible aligners: A secret way of getting perfect smile

So I was told about this magical dental appliance that goes by the name of invisible aligners. My parents wanted me to go for a dental makeover. I used to crib about my teeth all the time and how they were ruining my looks so my mother once took me to a nearby dentist. The dentist examined my mouth and what I could derive from the conversation he was having with my mother was that I don't have a severe case of malocclusion. Braces were the next thing that was suggested and I immediately protested. Obviously, I have friends of mine who have been wearing these clunky metals all the time. The thought of making conversations, giving speeches and partying with everybody noticing them made me shudder for a moment. So, the plan was dropped. After a few days, my father told me about these clear aligners that one of his friends from the office in turn told him about. All I gathered from his technical jargons was that they won't be visible to others while I undergo the treatment. I was happy.

The next day, an appointment with a dentist who was certified by Clearpath – a company we came across while searching about the various options on the internet. We were very much impressed by what the website said about the whole process of treatment. My only consideration was that it should happen discreetly and without causing me much trouble. The dentist took photos, impressions and X-rays of my mouth and said he was sending them to Clearpath for examination. They are the ones who will create customised invisible aligners for you. They also prepare a virtual setup to show you how your teeth will look after the treatment and how the entire process will shape out. The results were observed and after my father was satisfied with them, clearance was given to start manufacturing the aligners. The prospect of finally getting a set of bright, white, perfectly arranged teeth made me jump with excitement.

After my first set came, it actually made me even happier. They were nothing but crystal clear transparent plastic trays. I was told that they have been made from some medical grade plastic. The first time, they felt a bit tight and there was this odd feeling too. I told my dentist about that and he reassured that it is normal and I will eventually get accustomed to it. Another thing that troubled me was whether they will get stained when I eat something or how am I going to brush or floss my teeth with them on. I mean, the dentist isn't going to be there every time to get them off. However, he said it wasn't necessary. While, I have to keep them wearing all day long but they can be taken off when necessary. And he laid much emphasis on the word 'necessary'. It took ten weeks for my teeth to get perfectly straight and the best thing was the look on my close pal Peter's face when he came to know that I underwent dental treatment. He couldn't believe it but once I showed him my teeth, all he could do was gasp in surprise!

Adult already? So what? You cans still get rid of crowded teeth

It is a known fact that whether it is teenagers or adults, they all suffer from some sort of dental problem once in their life- be it bad breath, tooth decay, stained teeth or conditions that one has to endure because of hereditary reasons or as a result of an unfortunate accident. However, here we are concerned with the dilemma that one faces when undergoing a certain type of dental treatment. Folks we're are talking about the predicament of wearing dental appliances popularly known as braces. Be it a teenager or an adult, everybody wants to avoid them. The reason is pretty obvious and we do not need to elaborate on that here. The question is why shouldn't we avoid getting fitted with them? Well, for starters the prospect of a gloomy future where you might not have any teeth left should be the first and foremost pushing the rest of the lot to backseat.

However, it is becoming a common practice these days to be spotted with braces in public, especially with the celebrities. The shyness has become a thing of the past and more and more patients are now accepting the fact that it is not embarrassing to wear them when the question is of your health. Even then there are many who would rather suffer from the condition of malocclusion than appearing in public with the clunky metal brackets. To those steering clear of the minor ordeal, there are options. As an alternative to metal ones, clear and invisible braces have been developed purely for cosmetic purposes. These tend to be less noticeable than the traditional ones so that those unwilling to be spotted with them can enjoy some privacy even when in public.

There are many who fear that it is too late for them to be treated with a set of clear braces. They should put this fear out of their mind and remember teeth can be adjusted with as much effect as during childhood. These invisible equipments are reportedly less painful and irritating than the metal ones. The invisible kind are fitted behind the teeth so that only the patient is aware of their presence. The ceramic ones are manufactured using materials capable of blending in with the teeth.

There are options beyond the braces as well. There are transparent plastic trays that can also straighten the teeth in the same manner as the wire brackets. These are just worn over the misaligned teeth for a prescribed period and as and when instructed changed regularly depending on the constant alterations in the positions of the teeth. ClearPath provides metal grade plastic trays made of medical grade plastic. These are known as clear aligners and they are much comfortable, flexible than traditional, clear or invisible braces.

Invisible braces and there clear advantages

When asked what your biggest weakness is, a majority of people reply laziness. This is a trait that is common in both humans and animals. This habit of procrastination in turn induces a false sense of belief that everything will eventually fall in place. But the truth is everyone runs out of luck. And when the question is about the health, it becomes all the more a serious concern. Many of us regard certain conditions as innocuous; for example dental problems. All we do is brush them and then forget about it. However, the truth is taking care of teeth requires more than just cleaning them twice a day (I bet most of those reading this do this only once). We ignore the conditions such as mild malocclusion i.e. teeth out of their place. These have a potential to cause some serious health issues if not tended to in a timely manner. Wearing a simple orthodontic appliance such as braces will help in fixing them.

Many consider braces clearly as something that is specific to a certain age group which is a false assumption. There is no specific age for getting them. However, as they say the early the better. Still, adults today are fast taking advantage of the modern dentistry to improve not just their oral hygiene but overall personality too. A healthy set of teeth results in bright smile that adds weight to a person's charisma. Now, the question of how can a self-conscious adult can think to bear the burden of seeing with clunky, metal braces? The answer is simple – options.

Concerning the reasons why one would rather feel happy with crowded teeth than get them fixed by wearing braces, several innovations have taken place over the years that have made the process of pushing teeth into their most ideal positions an invisible process. The clear braces are made of less visible materials that easily mix in with the colour of the teeth. Then there are braces that are invisible to others. In simple terms, these are fixed behind the teeth rather than the conventional frontal part so that they are out of sight. However, make no mistake regarding their effectiveness. They treat the misaligned teeth in the same manner as traditional metal braces do. Clearly, there distinction from the metal ones is their composition and placement.

However, if not at all interested in the idea of wearing braces then CAD/CAM aligners is the best option for you. These plastic trays are both transparent and comfortable. These have gained significant popularity all over the world because of their effectiveness and obvious advantages over the braces. They are flexible i.e. removable as per wish and also others cannot make out whether someone is wearing them or not.

Express yourself with clear braces

One of the things that people are concerned today with is the way they look. They spend tons of their hard earned money on various apparels, beauty products, fitness programmes at al. The reason is not an obsession with self image but a natural tendency that drives each one of us to things that are designed to make us look more presentable. This stands true for everyone – from a six year old to an octogenarian. Each has his/her own reason. Some say it is health; others call it as a necessity arising out of their job. The bottom-line is in one way or the other each one of us is spending considerable time and money in improving our aesthetics. One of the features of a pleasing personality happens to be smile. Out teeth play a major role in the way we look while speaking, smiling or laughing.

A condition known as malocclusion (crowding or misalignment of teeth to speak in layman terms) not only affects the visual appearance of an individual but also can lead to several oral problems. If not tended in time it can cause tooth decay, bad breath, bleeding gums among others. The simplest solution for this malady is visiting a dentist. There are different cases of malocclusions ranging from mild to severe. Depending upon this, the treatment is offered.

This festive season gift yourself a beautiful smile

The festive season is upon us. It also means that truckloads of gifts will be bought and exchanged. Seldom do we buy gifts for ourselves. So why not buy something useful for yourself this year? If you are wondering what to buy then among the several options that I can think of now is going for a smile makeover. Do not think it as a case of excessive vanity. It is a well known fact that a beautiful and attractive smile can do wonders. It creates an instant impression and helps in forging long lasting professional and personal relationships.

People today are going for smile designing to not only enhance their appearances but also to correct certain defects that are a result of hereditary or some freak accident. One of the important parts of smile designing may involve correcting the positioning of teeth. The crowding affects not only the visual appearance but also causes dental problems like bad breath, trigger tooth decay among others. Visiting an orthodontist will help in getting rid of this malady. There are several options like clear braces, clear aligners etc. that are used to straighten teeth.

For those who don’t have to worry about misaligned teeth there can be other problems like chipped/broken tooth, missing tooth, stained teeth and more. These require cosmetic treatments like veneers, whitening, bonding etc. It is now possible to design a smile digitally and take in the view the individuals as to what their expectations are and also serves as a preview of what the outcome will be like. What will be suitable for a certain patient depends on individual cases. It requires careful examination and weighing in the possible consequences.

The advantage of clear aligners over dental braces

The need of innovation is to increase the comfort of humans. Around us we are constantly witnessing sea changes in almost all walks of life. Be it health, education, technology, entertainment, the constant evolution has made life more comfortable. In the field of dental care, over the years a new appliance has been creating ripples among those looking for a perfect straightened set of teeth. The usual diagnosis of malocclusions (excluding severe cases) is wearing metal braces. However, clear aligners have become one of the most popular options and are fast replacing the traditional dental braces. These are transparent plastic trays worn (not fitted) over the misaligned teeth to push them to designated positions.

The principle is similar to that of a traditional brace. One may ask what the reason for their reputation over the braces. Well, the obvious one is the invisibility factor. Clear aligners work stealthily! In other words their transparency allows them to carry on their job of fixing teeth without anyone noticing their existence other than the person who is wearing them. The added advantage is the flexibility. They can be removed as per wishes (like when brushing, eating etc.).

The removability ensures that it is easy for individuals to maintain their oral hygiene. They need to be changed after certain amount of time as specified by the dentist. Virtually, all the discomforts that traditional brackets bring with them are cancelled in the case of clear aligners.

A beautiful smile is an indicator of a healthy mouth

The constant innovation in the field of dentistry has thrown up several options to those suffering from dental problems. Problems related to the oral health that might not show up at early stages of life can become worse and difficult to handle later. If these are detected early then better but there is absolutely no need to lose heart if the condition is identified later. Maintaining proper oral hygiene and care of teeth is as necessary as any other body part. However, due to ignorance or hereditary one might have to visit a dentist. The ill effects manifest themselves in various forms such as halitosis (bad breath), crowded teeth, bleeding gums, tooth decay etc. It also has a negative impact on the smile and one may have to opt for smile designing to correct the condition. Visiting a dentist will help one in ascertaining the root cause of the issue. While issues such as bad breath may require one to brush their teeth at least twice a day and rinsing the mouth after every meal, others such as malocclusion may require the application of dental equipments known as invisible braces. The term ‘invisible’ has been attached because unlike the old days when the braces were on full display making the person slightly uncomfortable while smiling or talking, the modern techniques of manufacturing and placing hides them from the view of others. Braces aren’t just meant for the children or teenagers anymore. Adults are also quiet often seen with them (Tom Cruise being one of the most popular faces to have worn them in full public glare). It not only takes care in straightening them but also helps in designing a perfect, dreamy smile too. The result is an overall improvement in the personality of an individual and enhanced confidence as well. Clearpath provides comfortable, easy to use and most importantly, affordable orthodontic appliances that take care of your teeth which is hassle free and leaves your lifestyle untouched. How to get white and healthy looking teeth?

If you are one of those who have a long pending desire of having a bright set of teeth but are confused as to what treatment should you opt for then read on. There are various options available to get a bright and beautiful smile. Cosmetic Dentistry can help achieve the smile that you always wanted. A few of them are as follows:

Bonding: If you have broken or damaged tooth then bonding is the way to go. In this procedure, a tooth-colored material is ‘bonded’ to the affected tooth giving it a proper shape.

No pain, no gain: True for braces but one can reduce it, read on to know how

Do braces hurt? Yes. Is there a way to get rid of this? Yes and No. The reason behind this answer stems from the fact that while one may opt for orthodontic appliances other than braces but if fitted with these metal brackets, certainly one will have to undergo certain level of trouble. However, there are certain ways by which the uneasiness can be reduced to an extent. The first instruction that an orthodontist gives is to avoid eating anything that involves chewing. This is because of the fact that the teeth at the initial stages (when fitted with braces) are quite weak and are already under some pressure. Forcing them to more will result in pain. This is in addition to the fact that the solid food particles may get stuck in between teeth and braces making it a task to get rid of them. One may also feel a bit weird when the braces are on for the first time but it is not something to be fret about. Eventually, one gets used to it.

If pain is experienced even when sitting idle, pain relievers may be taken but only after consulting with the orthodontist. Some people also have a problem with the way braces affect their appearance. However, if desired, this ugly clunky piece of metal can be turned into a fashion accessory with different shapes, colour or material. If one desires to not reveal them to others, there are options in invisible braces and clear braces.

One has to be a little more careful during the entire duration of wearing these appliances so as to not get affected by another oral illness. Extra care should be taken of the oral hygiene. These are not to be detested as in the long run, they are surely going to prove effective as the teeth are gradually pushed to their intended positions giving you a beautiful smile and improved oral health.

Why is it important to wear tooth positioner following brace removal?

So your treatment period with orthodontic appliances known as braces is over. The teeth have been pushed to their ideal positions forming an arch. Gone are the days when you dreamt to have a perfect set of teeth because the dream to have a bright and beautiful smile has finally become a reality. Some of you would be more concerned with the health aspect rather than the visual appearance. Yes, it is true that braces bring two-fold benefit with them—improved smile and dental health. But there is a rider- a chance that if not taken care of properly the teeth can return to their old positions rendering the effect of going through the tiresome process of wearing braces null and void.

To ensure that the teeth do not move back to crooked positions, tooth positioners are designed to provide the final touch so that they adapt to the new positions quickly and remain affixed thereafter. They are customised to each patient’s need having impressions of the teeth and worn for a short duration right after the braces have been removed for the purpose of refinement. This appliance should be worn precisely the way instructed otherwise the results might not be achieved. It is worn like a mouth guard and the process involves chewing.

There has been a marked improvement in the field of orthodontics as newer dental equipments clearly reflect the changes. The effectiveness and ease of using them has certainly made them quite popular among the masses. There were metal braces and then came invisible and clear braces. Now we have aligners that work the same way as the braces do but are more comfortable to deal with and virtually invisible due to the material from which they are made.

How can one get rid of deformed teeth?

Humans have an obsession with symmetry. Any doubt? Well the examples are aplenty. To name a few- Great Pyramids of Giza, The Taj Mahal, Westminster Abbey and more. And this is not peculiar to humans. Even, nature loves symmetry. The biggest proof of this is the living things! Human bodies have bilateral symmetry. Researchers have shown that balanced facial features are likely to have more positive impression on others. Even our teeth are said to be in good condition when arranged in their symmetrical arched position. This is not just a matter of beauty but also health. An orthodontist is charged with the responsibility to correct the irregularities associated with teeth—natural or as a result of some accident.

The teeth are attached to the bones of jaws by means of tissues known as Periodontium. For those with malocclusions (medical term for crowding of teeth), orthodontists after examining the condition will either recommend wearing braces or for severe cases can also advise to undergo surgery. These braces exert pressure on the periodontal membrane that causes teeth to move to a new intended place to which the body adopts subsequently.

One of the features that bear the consequences of how teeth are arranged is the smile. Deformed teeth can lead to a crooked, unattractive smile that may prevent people suffering from this condition to exhibit one of the most attractive and pleasant feature that the nature has gifted the humans with. Not just misalignment, sometimes the reason behind this can be the deformed tooth itself. Conditions range from chipped to stained and even missing tooth. Cosmetic dentistry, with its comprehensive and all-encompassing variety of procedures provides definitive answers to these problems.

Invisible braces are for everyone

Eleven-year-old Sugandha Shukla had misaligned teeth. Her parents were worried about the repercussions of the condition that would have caused their only daughter mental and physical trouble. They visited a dentist and thankfully, the condition was mild and could be treated using popular dental equipments known as braces. But there was another problem. The mother, Savita Shulka didn’t want her child to undergo the same pain that she had heard about others undergoing similar orthodontic treatment had to endure. Not just wearing the metallic brackets causes one to refrain from living a carefree lifestyle but the prospect of getting noticed with the braces by others makes one increasingly shy (refraining from smiling etc.).

Ms Shukla presented her predicament to the orthodontist and she was surprised to discover the advances that have been made in the field of dental treatment. She was presented with options that would have not just saved her daughter from the discomfort of the traditional braces but also take care of the visibility factor. One of the examples was Invisible braces that are fitted behind the teeth rather than in front, as is done traditionally. This makes them difficult to be spotted in other words makes them invisible to others and hence the name. Their structure and function is similar to that of the older metal ones, the difference is in their placement.

Following the invisible braces, tooth positioner is worn to give a final finishing touch to the newly aligned teeth. Sugandha is not the only one to have benefitted from the invisible braces. Even grownups that include working population to housewives are getting fitted with them to get perfectly aligned teeth and get rid of the ill-effects of crooked/crowded teeth and get the smile of their dreams.
